Updated September 25, 2026. This notice covers Aviation Fuel Check by Dustoff Designs for iPhone and iPad. It also explains the separate handling of information you choose to send through our website for support.
What the app stores
The app stores settings, an optional aircraft label, fuel quantities, reading times, an active session, and sessions you choose to save to the Log. Older aircraft profiles may remain in local data for compatibility, although the current Setup no longer uses saved profiles. These records support calculations, your chosen display preferences, and resuming a session.
Data is stored in local app files on your device. The current app does not send fuel readings, labels, or settings to Dustoff Designs. It has no account system, developer-operated backend, advertising, tracking, analytics service, or cloud-sync feature. Fuel calculations and reference-density conversions run on your device.
Keeping and removing data
Closing the app keeps an active session. Reset lets you save a completed real session to the Log or discard its readings without saving. Previously saved sessions have no automatic expiry, and this version does not offer deletion of individual saved sessions. Reset does not clear existing logs or settings.
Deleting the app through iOS or iPadOS removes its local app data; offloading the app preserves its documents and data. See Apple’s storage guidance. Device backups and transfers may contain copies, depending on your settings. Deleting local data or resetting a session does not erase existing backups. Manage backup copies through your device or backup provider. Dustoff Designs cannot remotely access or erase your local logs or device backups.
Optional local reminders
If you choose reminders and allow notifications, the app asks the operating system to schedule a local fuel-check notification. No fuel data or push token is sent to a Dustoff Designs server. You can change notification permission in your device settings. Permission, Focus, and other device settings can affect delivery.
Links you choose to open
Website and fuel-density reference links open external pages only when you tap them. Those sites may process your IP address, browser information, cookies, and other connection data under their own privacy practices. The app does not automatically attach your fuel readings or logs to these links.
Contacting support is separate
If you submit our website form, Dustoff Designs receives your name, email address, message, contact consent, and any optional details or files you provide. We use those details to respond, investigate your question, and keep a record of the request. Sending a support request does not subscribe you to marketing. Please use fictional calculation examples and omit sensitive operational or personal information.
Our website uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure for hosting, records, and file storage. Support submissions enter a private business inbox with role-based access. These providers may process connection and diagnostic information, including IP addresses, to operate and protect the website. The website uses short-lived hashed connection identifiers for submission limits. These protections do not make support information anonymous.
Website email alerts are currently not configured; support requests are reviewed in the private inbox. We retain support records as needed to address requests and meet applicable business or recordkeeping obligations; no fixed deletion deadline is promised. Questions, corrections, or deletion requests
Contact Dustoff Designs through Aviation Fuel Check support. Include a request reference if you have one. We may need to confirm that a request relates to your information. Records subject to ongoing work or recordkeeping obligations may need to be retained. A request to us concerns information we received, not data that remains solely on your device.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page when the app’s or support service’s data practices change. The date above identifies this notice.
